Access Restricted: Only Authorized Employees
Video Transcribed: What is the fifth security requirement for medical marijuana growers? I am Ope Adegbuyi, a medical marijuana business lawyer in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
According to the OBN, the fifth security requirement for medical marijuana growers is that the medical marijuana commercial growing, processing, packaging, and manufacturing areas shall be accessible only to an absolute minimum number of authorized employees.
When it is necessary for employee maintenance personnel, non-employee maintenance personnel, business guests, or visitors to be present in or pass through areas where controlled dangerous substances are present, the registrant shall provide adequate observation of the area by an employee specifically authorized in writing. So basically, this requirement states that the grow space itself must have only a limited number of employees that have access to that area.
Then if you have any guests or any other form of employees that don’t work in the grow, it has to be supervised by an employee basically, and it has to be a limited span that they could go through.
