New Rules for Oklahoma Cannabis Business Renewals
Hello, this is Oklahoma Cannabis Business Attorney Jesse Kovacs with the OK Cannabis Law Office. Today we’re asking when should I submit my renewal application? Now this has changed recently. Part of the new rules that recently went into effect in August have made it so that you need to file your renewal application at least 60 days prior to the expiration date for it to be considered timely filed. Otherwise, it’s not going to be subject to the requirement that OMA processes applications in 90 business days.
Now we all know that OMA can take some time processing applications, so you definitely want to be within that requirement. So even though you can submit a renewal application up to 60 days after the expiration date, you want to get that in ideally 60 days before the expiration date. And one of the other changes that has recently gone into effect is the renewal window opens at 120 days before the expiration date. So ideally get those renewal applications in as quickly as possible.
