OBN: The Enforcer of Oklahoma’s Drug Laws
Video Transcribed: What does OBN stand for and what do they do? I’m Ope Adegbuyi and I am an Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Business Attorney.
OBN means the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics. And they are the authorized body, which they are authorized by Title 63 of the Oklahoma statute to enforce the Uniform Control Dangerous Substances Act.
So the OBN is also authorized to investigate criminal offenses related to human trafficking and money laundering charges. They’re basically the enforcement branch that deals with controlled substances and medical marijuana falls under a controlled substance. And that’s why you need to put in an application with them to get your OBN registration when you have an OMMA license.
For more information, you can contact me, an OMMA compliance lawyer, at Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Attorney.
